In this follow up to our Black August forum, we will engage in community discussion and explore what freedom looks like for each of us.

Hosted and facilitated by Amber Boydston of Spirited Justice, we will debrief reactions to last month’s documentary, “The Day of the Gun”, which chronicled the life of George Jackson and how his death gave birth to Black August. Black August is the time of year when we honor, commemorate and memorialize Black Liberation leaders and political prisoners who have been victims to the prison industrial system.

Doors: 6pm
Program: 6:45pm
