RACE TALKS: Uniting to Break the Chains of Racism

Filling the spaces between races with compassion, conversation, and education

Donate to RACE TALKS

Your financial contributions fund the ongoing work and mission of RACE TALKS. Please consider making a donation today to support our critical work.

RACE TALKS is a community based organization that has inspired, and continues to inspire, thousands of Portlanders to break the chains of racism through face to face community dialogues with experts on a variety of issues in a forum setting.

Your support will ensure we can continue to have critical interracial and cross-cultural communications, build and strengthen relationships, and participate in social justice activism supported by educational panels / or films, good food, and great discussions.

Your generous monthly donation will provide reliably funding for our monthly RACE TALKS forums and help us grow our programming to reach an even broader audience. Choose the option for monthly donation along with your contribution amount to provide stable funding for RACE TALKS throughout the year.

Make a Contribution to Donna Maxey

RACE TALKS is the creation of Donna Maxey, a Black woman elder (pictured below). Donna works tirelessly, volunteering her time —for 10 years and counting— to produce inspiring and engaging forums every month. To honor her commitment to ending racism in our community and to help her continue this necessary work, consider making a contribution to thank her personally through an honorarium or reparations.

Thank you for your generous and continued support.
